last night, joe was installed as president of our kiwanis club. that makes me the first lady. 🙂
the meeting was great. my parents and joe’s dad came, and i was given an award for my work on the recent kiddie day parade.
i was so proud of my husband. he will make a fantastic president. he already has a lot of really great ideas for ways to increase our membership and get us more visible in the community. luckily, those ideas are things that our older members can do.
joe was *really* excited to receive the gavel!
going back to my mention of the kiddie day parade, i realized i forgot to tell you all how it went. it was great. we had about 150 kids there, which is fewer than we were expecting. one of the churches held soccer games that morning, which took a lot of kids away from our event. that’s one thing we’re going to try to avoid next year. but, all-in-all, it went well. nothing went wrong. the kids had fun. the kiwanians had fun. they even told me they enjoyed working the event this year. yay! here are some pictures from the event:
modeling the shirt i designed.
Uh oh, watch out for Joe with that gavel. He has a sneaky gleam of power in his eyes!
awe too cute! looks like so much fun 🙂
Cool! Congrats to Joe!
