Spending a few hours together — my grandmother has been at a nursing home for the last two weeks for rehab because she broke her hip during a fall. She came home for a few hours on Saturday, and is expected back for good just before Thanksgiving. My grandpa has really missed her.
Taste-tests — Callie had to make sure the cake I made for my dad’s birthday and my sandwich weren’t poisoned.

Wow, is gas really $3.94 where you live?? It’s under $2 here – I saw $1.84 last week, I imagine it’s even lower now.
no, gas is under $1.90 here. that picture was showing a gas station now out of business with its sign still at $3.94 and a current gas sign across the street.
I wish our gas was 1.90… it is 2.23 right now… but our county never let the gas get over 3.99 when in other places it did… so it is coming down slower in our area because of that…

I paid $2.17 for gas and considered it a bargain. It’s more than 50% cheaper than it was. I lost track after it hit $4.50-ish. Relief is good.

If those were my grandparents, I’d make a poster out of the top photo and hang it on the wall in the living room. I only wish I had an image like that to show it to my grand kids some day…

When I was out @ WalMart yesterday, gas was $1.81/gallon @ their gas station~sooo lovin’ that 😉
