I spent an hour last night organizing the nursery, and I’m just about done. We have all the furniture in, besides the glider, and most of the decor is up. I’m just waiting on the letters I ordered, which are arriving next week, and then I need to order the quote that’s going above her crib, which I’ll order after the letters come in and we can measure the space.
I also need to get some bigger containers for organization in the closet, but that’s something that can wait. Here are some pictures we took of our work in progress. We’ve added a bookcase, which I haven’t taken a picture of yet since the room has been covered in gifts! Once everything is in place, I’ll take some final pictures. At least you can get a feel for how it’s going to look.
This is the view you see from the hallway.

The nursery.

I love the dresser we bought. The downside is that there are only three drawers, but I love the hutch. It was one thing I really wanted.

I cannot wait to get it finished. It looks like it will definitely be done in time for my shower on Nov. 1, which I am so excited about. My whole goal was to have it ready to show off to everyone. Now, I have loads of clothes to finish washing, hanging and folding!
The nursery looks awesome & perfect for little Lucy 🙂 ♥ the vibrant colors! Now all you’re waiting on is Lucy & it won’t be much longer at all until she arrives 🙂
It looks awesome! I love it Cady! Lucy is going to love it too!
Oh, it looks great! I can’t wait until you have a baby to put in there!
Hi Cady!
It seems like you and I may have commented back and forth a bit back before I was off for a year. At any rate, I got here via Comment Exchange.
The room is terrific. Your new daughter (I take it) will have much to appreciate in this room alone.
When I read of your infertility journey I thought of my eldest, Megan, who just turned thirty with no babies yet.
I’m just the dad so I don’t ask many questions so as not to pressure, but if an announcement comes it will sure be exciting (even though I do have ten grandkids and two greats!}.
Congratulations on your new addition!
That’s a very cute bookshelf. I think more bulk storage issues will get worked out as you go along 🙂
Cute!
If you’re doing letters on the wall then do you still want your painting? Do you want me to leave the name off? Did you ever tell me what size? I was planning to get it to you somehow when you’re in town for your Chatt. shower. Email me.
How incredibly well organised you are! I’ve just been to visit my brand new (and first ever) grand daughter. I just wish they didn’t live so far away.
