Sweet Tea & Day Dreams

33 Weeks

I know it’s late in the game, but I thought I’d do one of the weekly surveys I’ve seen on other blogs.

How far along: 33 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Up 14 pounds (but that does not include the weight I gained during the IVF cycle)
Maternity clothes: Definitely.
Sleep: Wish I could sleep as soundly as I used to.
Best moment this week: Realizing I rechnically have fewer than 7 weeks to go now!
Movement: Yes, but it’s not as noticable as it has been. Plus, with the placenta in front, it’s harder to feel her.
Food cravings: Carrots and ranch dressing — yum!
Gender: A little girl!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out: Still in. 🙁
What I miss: My old size. 🙂
What I am looking forward to: My baby showers in a few weeks.
Weekly Wisdom: There is no such thing as bladder control anymore!
Milestones: Less than two months to go!

Gift Guide

I feel like I wake up every day in awe of how far along I am. I can’t believe I technically have fewer than 7 weeks to go (6 weeks and 6 days!). I’m feeling *much* better health-wise, which is great. I’m not exactly back to 100 percent, but I’m better than I was.

I’m getting used to the pain, and have found how I need to sleep so my sciatic nerve doesn’t hurt. And at least now I feel like I can make it for the next 6 weeks, which is a breakthrough. I still get dizzy a lot, which I know is normal, but it just seems odd that it always seems to hit when I’m sitting down rather than when I stand up.

One thing that bums me out is that my belly button still hasn’t popped out. At this point, I’m wondering if it ever will. I hate that I still have that indentation rather than a perfectly round belly. Oh well. In the grand scheme of things, that’s pretty minor.

I’m getting *so* excited about Lucy’s impending arrival. I have a feeling she will be late. I know it’s early to say that, but it’s just my gut feeling. I hope I’m wrong!

My belly button never popped out with the first pregnancy, and I remember wanting it to as well. Looking back, I have no idea why I wanted that! Mine popped out early with the twins, and let me tell ya, that skin in your belly button has never touched anything in your life, and it is very sensitive! having your shirt rub against it day in and day out is very uncomfortable.

My bellybutton didn’t pop out with either pregnancy and I didn’t want it to either!! I think it looks sort of alien like! It sounds like you’re feeling better. These last few weeks are going to fly by!

Happy to hear your sleep is improving. Lots of water – since you’re going to have to “go” anyway LOL!

“Sleep: Wish I could sleep as soundly as I used to.” Me too! Of course, my kids are 12, 9, and almost 6 and I STILL don’t sleep as soundly as I used too.

My belly button never popped out either. Must be a defect, lol…my babies never came on their own. My first pregnancy, I woke up to fix my dh’s lunch and I thought I was peeing on myself. Come to find out, my water was leaking…I was put in and induced, he was born June 28th, but due July 6. Second pregnancy, I was two weeks over due (he was due June 16, he was born on June 29th), the doctor said it looked like the baby was breach. He did an ultrasound, and he was, I was put in for a C-section. He was 9lbs, 14ozs! Third pregnancy, I had to have another C-section because they had to make a “T” cut on my uterus getting #2 out. She was due December 16, but I had her on December 5th.

It won’t be long and your little one will be here! How exciting!

It’s been 15 years since we said “I do”, and It’s been 15 years since we said “I do”, and where do I even begin? We’ve had some amazing times, some not so great ones, and we really put the “in sickness and in health” part of our vows to the test this last year. This man is always willing to get my pain pills in the middle of the night, has helped me through Covid recovery and does everything I can’t without complaint. He’s also the funniest person I know and can always make me laugh, and he’s pretty hot, too. I am a lucky woman to call him my husband. Here’s to many more years of happily ever after. I love you! ❤️❤️
